In honor of the brave souls attempting a one-night stand with Scarlett Johansson's extraterrestrial temptress in Under the Skin, IGN proudly presents the top 10 alien seductions in cinema! Spoilers follow for all the films below and some clips may be slightly NSFW. Enough with the warnings.
On to the alien nookie! Exit Theatre Mode Kim Basinger: My Stepmother is an Alien Released Things don't work out so well for a lot of the, er, seductees on this list. Dan Aykroyd's character in My Stepmother is an Alien is a notable exception. Not only does he get to keep his gorgeous otherworldy wife and his life , he manages to convince her whole species not to destroy the earth.
If that's not a win-win, I don't know what is. And who can forget the first time Aykroyd's Dr. Steve gets down with Basinger's Celeste. The talking eyestalk in her purse makes it a little weird, but the scene gets extra points for the totally unexplained indoor fireworks.
Released Call this a reverse alien seduction, since the human participant is doing most of the work. It starts with a smarmy White House press secretary Martin Short picking up a strange, sashaying young lady on the side of the road. Despite sporting a beehive big enough to conceal a nuclear warhead, she waltzes into the West Wing without so much as a stop-and-frisk by the Secret Service. It's a match made in heaven.
But things take a turn for the worse when Depp returns from his latest mission a little Take the scene in which Depp talks Theron into a bit of risky business; things going from steamy to disturbing pretty quickly. To be fair, that's not unusual when you get busy with someone who's been taken over by a hostile alien intelligence.
First Contact Released The notion of an individual consciousness flew in the face of everything Star Trek fans had come to know about the homogeneous race of half-machine drones called The Borg. Sure, there was some precedent: Locutus, Hugh and Seven-of-Nine were all individual Borg with distinct features.
But those characters still retained a certain degree of the Borg's robotic manner. The Borg Queen, on the other hand, was smooth, graceful and hedonistic. Frankly, the choice to create a Borg boss should have had disaster written all over it.
Fortunately a class act like Alice Krige was cast in the role and the rest is history. Most alien seductions tend to have sex as their ultimate goal at least before the human partner gets devoured or what have you. But the Borg Queen wanted Data's loyalty, not his love. To get it, she didn't just touch him in his naughty bits, oh no. She gave him the sense of touch itself. That is some extreme sexual warfare right there.
Decoys and Decoys 2 Released , You may not have heard of Decoys, a Canadian film that shamelessly apes the premise of our number one movie, transplanting it into a gratuitous horny college co-ed scenario.
Part horror thriller, part soft-core porn, it merits inclusion not because it's any great shakes but because it's just so on-the-nose. It fits the theme of this article so perfectly, in fact, that the original subtitle for its sequel which, admittedly, I have never and will never watch is Alien Seduction.
You can't look a gift alien in the mouth, folks. Below you'll find the trailer for Decoys. Posting a single seduction scene just wouldn't do it justice. And, if you can bear the sheer awesomeness of the catchphrase "The intergalactic sluts are back
